Offline playback

Load your project in the app and play without internet.

FilmApp is built for locations without reception. Offline playback happens in the apps – for screens in the shot there are downloadable desktop packages.

In the apps (iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows)

The app loads all project content automatically: fully on sign-in, refreshed on every launch with a connection. Offline it stays available – until you sign out.

  1. Open the app once with an internet connection before the shoot.

  2. Wait for “Offline bereit” (offline ready) at the bottom of the overview.

  3. On set, all scenes run entirely from local storage.

Desktop scenes

In the desktop app, simply load the project fully online once. Only if the target PC can never go online or app installation is not allowed: download the package in the app on another computer → Transfer a package.

Changes without a connection

Content changed on set is remembered offline (“Save offline”) and transferred automatically at the next online contact → Edit content.
